Loving Ruby, is a true story about a rescued baby cardinal. This award-winning book is created in prose with a collaboration of photographs and illustrations. Author, Lois Chazen, lives in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Loving Ruby won the gold Mom’s Choice Award, in the category of “philanthropic”. Her passion for animals and children has defined her life path. She is devoted to helping the animals while educating kids for the rest of her life.

Lois is currently working on Maddy Magoo’s Animal Rescues, a series of children’s books to help the non-profit animal sanctuaries throughout the United States. The first book from this series will be about animals here at Goat Mountain Ranch Sanctuary. The sub-title of the first book is called, Tugen. The lessons in life are taught by the animals and are collaborated with the teachings from Don Miguel Ruiz’s book, The Four Agreements.
